Stitch Together: Learning More Crochet Stitches

Stitch Together: Learning More Crochet Stitches In-Person

Join us for the second part of a 5-part series on learning how to crochet! Adults and teens welcome!

In this next session, we are going to recap how to chain and make a single crochet stitch. Then, we'll explore some of the other crochet stitches you'll encounter in patterns:

  • Double crochet
  • Half-double crochet
  • Triple crochet

The session will end with an easy project that you can take home - a simple sampler made of rows in each of the stitch types. This square can easily be used in the future as a reference for how each stitch looks and feels.

Yarn, hooks, and stitch markers will be available for attendees to use in limited quantities. We highly recommend bringing your own supplies that you are comfortable with, as it will make learning how to crochet, and sticking with it, much easier! In this session we will be using:

  • Any weight of yarn; size 4 medium weight is suggested.
  • Any size of crochet hook; size G or H is suggested.
  • 2 stitch markers
