Stitch Together: Reading Crochet Patterns

Stitch Together: Reading Crochet Patterns In-Person

Join us for the third part of a 5-part series on learning how to crochet! Adults and teens welcome!

In this next session, we're going to learn how to read crochet patterns. We'll go over:

  • What a pattern looks like.
  • What all the abbreviations are, and why they are used.
  • How to read and interpret the abbreviations.

The session will end with reading and creating an easy project that you can take home - a waffle stitch dishcloth.

Yarn, hooks, and stitch markers will be available for attendees to use in limited quantities. We highly recommend bringing your own supplies that you are comfortable with, as it will make learning how to crochet, and sticking with it, much easier! In this session we will be using:

  • Any weight of yarn; size 4 medium weight is suggested.
  • Any size of crochet hook; size G or H is suggested.
  • 2 stitch markers
