2nd Tuesdays Lunch and Learn: Victorian Mourning Customs with the Rogers Historical Museum

2nd Tuesdays Lunch and Learn: Victorian Mourning Customs with the Rogers Historical Museum In-Person

This program will be meeting in the Key Wing Classroom at the Rogers Historical Museum, 322 S. 2nd Street.

In the Victorian Era, rules of etiquette were followed daily and that extended to death and mourning practices. Join Ashley Sayers with the Rogers Historical Museum as she discusses Victorian mourning customs, from the attire one needed to wear to the funerals themselves. We'll also tour the Hawkins House, a middle-class Victorian brick house built on the corner of Second and Cherry Streets in Rogers, Arkansas in 1895.

Feel free to bring your own lunch; coffee, tea, and a dessert will be provided.

The 2nd Tuesday Lunch and Learn programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Rogers Public Library.
