Stitch Together: Knitting in the Round In-Person

Join us for the final part of a 4-part series on learning how to knit! Adults and teens welcome!

In this session, we'll learn how to knit in the round. We will cover:

  • What "in the round" means and how it differs from the knitting in our previous sessions.
  • What kinds of knitting needles are needed for working in the round.
  • How to start, and then continue, a knitting project in the round.

The session will end with an easy project that you can take home - a coffee cup cozie.

Yarn, knitting needles, and stitch markers will be available for attendees to use in limited quanities. We highly recommend bringing your own supplies that you are comfortable with, as it will make learning how to knit, and sticking with it, much easier! In this session, we'll be using:

  • Size 4, medium weight yarn.
  • Four, size 7 double-pointed needles, or a set of size 7 circular needles.
  • 1 stitch marker.
